Port Street Beer House

A celebration of all that is small, niche & artisan about the ancient art of brewing, the Port Street Beer House is the second venture from the people behind one of the Northern Quarter’s destination bars, Common. Here they’ve gone for a cleaned-up pub look, with huge tables & bashed green velvet banquettes dominating two floors dedicated to the savouring of good beer. The list is a constantly-evolving creature featuring over 100 bottled & cask ales from around the world, with little-known gems & handcrafted specials given due prominence; try Thornbridge Ashford, Roosters Silver Lining or Odell Cutthroat Porter, all poured by knowledgeable, enthusiastic staff. Festivals & events keep things fresh, & there’s a small beer yard at the back.
