Venue info
A firm favourite among Brockley locals, this recently renovated establishment provides fantastic service to a sociable mixed crowd ranging from SE4s yummy mummies to the Goldsmiths art student clique. A constantly rotating cast of well-executed eclectic dishes runs from sobrasada and herb croquettes with Parmesan aïoli or crispy calamari with teriyaki and plum sauce to Sardinian seafood stew with fregola or stuffed breast of guinea fowl with confit leg, wild cabbage and beluga lentil samosas, with back-up from home-baked breads and locally produced ice creams. Wines do their job, but the main attraction is the choice of cocktails and craft beers including local tipples from Brockley Brewery. Exposed brick walls, an open kitchen and outdoor seating area provide a pleasant backdrop for anything from breakfast or a mouth-watering brunch to a relaxed Sunday roast or a good-time party. A great local jewel.
