Venue info

With its green-panelled walls & worn-in leather Chesterfields, The Library has the faint air of a gentleman’s study, yet lacks the level of class that this might suggest. For a start, the pub is situated close to the commuter chaos of the Highbury Corner roundabout. The menu lists all the Thai standards, & there’s also a wine list containing four each of red & white (none costing more than £18). Leffe, Grolsch & Guinness are among the beers on draught. A booklet of cocktails lists a few classics alongside house concoctions such as Ginger Love (Caorunn gin, Canton ginger liqueur, Agave Sec, Campari & ruby grapefruit juice). Outside you’ll find a congenial beer garden, & there’s regular comedy in the large function room on the first floor.
