Venue info

Only a 15 minute stroll of Newcastle’s city centre, The Cosy Dove is a community pub which has a village feel - everyone is welcome here and locally sourced ingredients underpin the food menu.
As the name suggests, you can certainly expect to feel cosy as soon as you walk in the door here, thanks to the pub’s traditional interiors, which feature studded leather banquettes, exposed brick walls, shelves lined with classic books and a fireplace in the corner. There is also a beer garden to make use of when the weather is playing ball, while the partially open kitchen in the dining room allows guests to watch the chefs at work and adds to The Cosy Dove’s casual, inclusive feel.
The menu here consists of classic pub grub alongside some more modern propositions. If you want to keep things traditional, opt for the hearty likes of a steak and ale pie or ham and eggs with chips. More adventurous types meanwhile can try loaded fries topped with pizza sauce, cheese and pepperoni, or a novel take on fish and chips which swaps out the traditional beer batter for a Gin & Tonic variety.
You can also order the likes of steak or marinated chicken breast from the grill, while the opportunity to build your own burger is a fun one - pick from fillings including chicken fillet, chuck steak or a veggie patty. Don’t miss the chef’s specials written up on a board behind the bar either, where you will find seasonal delights.
To round off your meal, dig into comforting bowls of classic British desserts, such as a seasonal fruit crumble or homemade sticky toffee pudding topped with double cream. Naturally, The Cosy Dove is home to all of the usual drinks you would expect to find at a local boozer, while on Saturdays, hungry punters with little time to spare can grab a burger to takeaway.
